Principal's Welcome

Dear Visitors,

Welcome to our school's new website, we are extremely proud of it! The aim of our website is to inform parents as well as other visitors of the organisation, structure and qualities of education which are promoted in St. Brigid’s Primary School, Cloughmills. The website gives the children the opportunity to share with their parents, family and friends everything that is good about St. Brigid's Primary School. It will keep the whole community informed about events in the school as well as key dates and documents.

St. Brigid’s is a Catholic Maintained School opened in 1961 to serve pupils from the  village and surrounding catchment area.  We have a caring, inclusive school where the whole school community shares a common goal, which is to do the very best for every child in our care, regardless of physical or academic ability, religious or cultural background.

Our overriding aim is to establish and foster Christian values for life.  To do this, it is essential that we work in partnership with all our parents and the parish community.  Indeed the success of our school depends on good co-operation between pupils, parents, governors, staff and our parish priest.

In St. Brigid’s P.S. Cloughmills, we are a caring sharing school who believe that, “happy children learn best”.  Each member of staff is directly responsible for meeting the needs of all pupils.  In particular they have a responsibility to demonstrate care and empathy for children exhibiting special educational needs and reflect the values and attitudes inherent within our Catholic community.

We hope that our website gives you a taster of life in St Brigid’s, if you would like any further  information about our school please contact us  and we will be happy to assist you.
